Brendan Shanahan remains a consideration for the Rangers according to both the player and the Rangers. Still it's hard to see how the Rangers can afford the veteran now that they have approximately $1.5M remaining of Cap room, and seemingly no trade options.

Shanahan told Sports Illustrated last week that he wants to come back, and if the Rangers are not in the picture, he'd consider offers from other teams.

The Wolf Pack have given Mike Taylor an AHL contract. Taylor finished the season with Hartford after getting a PTO following the completion of his college career.

Darius Kasparaitis appears to have re-signed in Russia. Can't find an English translation as of yet...but it looks like he re-upped with St Petersburg.
